Paul Williams is a grim reminder that things were not as they seemed to be at Bellevue. The hand of God was frustrating the seemingly untarnished 17+ years legacy at Bellevue Baptist. This blog is a study from an outsider of the theological problems that Steve Gaines inherited.

A positive thing to say about SG is that he has mannerisms that give him believability to the common man. His nervous twitch and facial quirks add to his humanity.
Unlike AR you feel that he is one of us. AR appeared too perfect and thus unbelievable while SG is the "redneck's" preacher. He has an appeal to a different class of people, one that needs to be reached in Memphis. That is a post on the positive side for SG.

I extracted this statement from AOG's "The Baptist Reformation Blog" under the March 20, 2007
This is a sermon from his friend Jake and worth a read.
Statement: "I am not awe struck when the false prophets(Graham and Hinn come to mind) of our day get thousands to bow at a man made altar; but I am thrown in the dirt when the LORD saves a distressed soul that has had sleepless nights and miserable days, wondering if they would ever find relief over their hopeless and helpless sinful condition."
Also Steve Gaines and Adrian Rogers come to my mind with Graham and Hinn.
I've posted this here for future references. Plainly there is a legal issue that constitutes an abuse of judicial authority. When oc realizes it he will delete his post on NBBCOF and I will have it here.

This is what Watchinghisstory says on Mikey's blog about me,
WHS said: You are so 'offensive',
where were you when I waited for you and 'sick of the truth' at Bellevue. You were a counselor and could have easily handled me.
I waited over one hour and fifteen minutes and neither of you showed up.
oc replies:
Yes, I could have handled you. I am sure of that. It's not because I'm a counselor. But I am involved with the justice system. Both you and I should be glad I didn't show. For different reasons.
WHS says:
oc, I doubt that you have a clue about the anger Jesus has for modern day American Christianity,
I will set up a time to meet with you again but my charge will be $100 per hour cash up front and $100 every hour there after.
My first vist would have been free.
I'm sure you understand the need to charge.
Mike, sorry to post on your blog but they have baned me and no one will go to my blog. They do read your blog.

oc replies: I'm guessing the need to charge means you don't have insurance.
Now you can go whine on Mikey's blog some more.
