As The Leader So Goes The Church

" The SBC church, institution or agency that believes the "leader" is beyond simple accountablity will find that leader has the capability to ruin the organization. When and if that happens, the fault will reside not only with the leader, but those laymen who were unable to see that a lack of transparency is the first indication that something is wrong." Wade Burleson

I am sure that Wade didn't have Dr. Rogers in mind when he posted this. However it applies to Rogers. I commented: "Is Bellevue the only SBC big church run this way? Rogers got by on this earth because of the self discipline of his personality. He just made you like him! That veiled something that God is revealing and Jesus said that wich is done in darkness will be revealed. Perhaps Paul Williams and this recession are providentially arranged to make known the truth."

Someone else said long ago: "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."

"those laymen who were unable to see that a lack of transparency is the first indication that something is wrong."

The pastor's salary is hidden from the ones who give to the church. $500,000 can be used as hush money without congregational approval. Committees and staff who simply mirror what Rogers wanted. aren't these things that should have given notice that something was wrong at Bellevue?

Charles:

I submitted the following post on the New BBC Open Forum but NASS refused to post it. I just don't think God would have me continue to be involved with your site for the following reasons. HOWEVER, let me declare, that I REALLY enjoy much of what you write because it is truthful.

Your last post is REALLY on target!

Nonetheless, it would be impossible for me to direct my Ladies Bible Study or their families to view your site because of some of its content.

To Charles Page:

FYI, Memphis, Tennessee can learn NOTHING from the GLBT.

"Have NO fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Ephesians 5:11.

Charles, you need to remove the "f" word from your website as well as descriptive graphic sexual images. This is very displeasing to the Lord. In addition, maybe you should present the horrors of anal sex from a medical viewpoint.

Click here to view a Bellevue program from October 1989 where Mikael Carrier was preaching at Bellevue East. It looks as if his wife, Anne, had a solo.

May God bless you Charles.

really good to hear from you. and thanks for the links. That one with PW is astonding and I may use it if you don't mind.

I will give your request prayerful consideration. However I believe that God is leading me in this. I have discussed this with my wife and with my dear mother. My wife reads it but I would not want my mother to read it. She understands however as I explained it to her.

There is a target audience for this and perhaps your ladies do not need to read it, on the other hand maybe they do. God will determine who will read it. I do not believe that everyone has to. God knows.

Please keep reading and I understand your silence. Just keep praying for me.

I do cherish your prayers.

Charles

PS I discussed this with a urologist and his 'medical' insight scared me, literally, and I prefer my method.

my religious perspective scared him! We mutually scared each other.

He seems to be a good man however well use to urological exams!
